Audi of America detailed the 2020 A4 yesterday and now the company is doing the same with the facelifted A5 and S5 lineup.

Set to arrive at dealerships this winter, the 2020 A5 features a wider and flatter Singleframe grille with honeycomb inserts. The model has also been equipped vents above the grille that are designed to recall the 1984 Sport Quattro.

Elsewhere, designers installed a new front bumper with larger air intakes. The model also sports revised side skirts and a modified rear end with a diffuser that is flanked by trapezoidal exhaust tips.

Interior changes are more modest but include an all-new MIB 3 infotainment system with a 10.1-inch display. Audi says the system operates up to ten times faster than its predecessor and this helps to provide a “better overall user experience.”

Power is provided by a 2.0-liter TSFI four-cylinder engine that produces 248 hp (185 kW / 251 PS) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed S tronic transmission which sends power to standard quattro all-wheel drive system. This enables the Coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 5.6 seconds, while the Sportback and Cabriolet take 5.7 and 6.0 seconds, respectively.

Upgrading to the S5 rewards buyers with a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 that develops 349 hp (260 kW / 354 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. Thanks to the extra power and an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission, the dash to 60 mph (96 km/h) is cut to 4.4 seconds in the Coupe. The S5 Sportback does the same task in 4.5 seconds, while the S5 Cabriolet is slightly slower at 4.8 seconds.

Pricing starts at $42,900 and the entry-level model comes equipped with LED lighting units, a panoramic sunroof and a tri-zone climate control system. The car also has ambient lighting, dark aluminum trim and heated leather front sport seats with eight-way power adjustment.

The A5 Premium Plus begins at $46,700 and adds Matrix LED headlights with high-beam assist, auto-dimming side mirrors and an alarm with motion sensors. The model also has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a memory function for the driver’s seat and leatherette upholstery on the center console and door armrests. Lastly, there are additional driver assistance systems including front / rear parking sensors, side assist and pre sense rear.

The range-topping Prestige trim starts at $52,600 and has Matrix LED headlights with laser light technology, MMI Navigation plus and a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. The model also boasts a surround view camera, active lane assist, park steering assist and adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist. Rounding out the highlights are a head-up display and traffic sign recognition technology.
