Customers in the UK can begin placing their orders for the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4Matic crossover, with first deliveries expected this summer.

Pricing starts from £48,665 OTR ($63,500), which is a considerable sum. You do however get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-pot that’s good for 302 HP (306 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque, enough to get you to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5.2 seconds.

The power unit works in conjunction with the AMG Speedshift DCT 8G transmission, the AMG performance 4Matic all-wheel drive system and the AMG suspension with Adaptive Damping.

Exterior features for the GLB 35 include Multibeam LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, a panoramic sunroof and 20-inch AMG matte black wheels, while heated front electrically adjustable memory seats, ambient lighting with 64 colors and a Burmester surround sound system are standard in the cabin.

Also standard is the MBUX multimedia system with voice activation, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit display and 10.25 inch touchscreen media display with Augmented Reality navigation, DAB radio and smartphone integration with wireless charging.

Meanwhile, on the safety front you get the Driving Assistant package as standard, which comes with Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Parking Assist and navigation, Active Steer Assist, Active Speed Limit Assist, route-based speed adjustment, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Brake Assist and PRE-SAFE Plus.

Finally, UK buyers can choose a metallic paint for an extra £595 ($777). The designo Patagonia red metallic paint can be had for £795 ($1,038), while the designo mountain grey magno is £1,795 ($2,344).
