Speaking about the achievement, the Corvette executive chief engineer, Tadge Juechter, said: “It’s humbling to be selected for this award by such an impressive jury of automotive journalists. Our team poured our hearts and souls into this vehicle, and to see such an overwhelmingly positive reception makes it all worthwhile. We are sure our customers will love the new Corvette as much as these jurors and we can’t wait to get them behind the wheel.”
In the 2020 North American Utility of the Year category, the Kia Telluride has been declared the big winner. The Korean company’s flagship SUV was favored by the jurors over its cousin, the Hyundai Palisade, and the Lincoln Aviator, as both of them made it to the shortlist.
Last, but definitely not least, the Jeep Gladiator nabbed the gold medal in the 2020 North American Truck of the Year. The rugged pickup, which is put together in Toledo, Ohio, managed to beat the RAM Heavy Duty and Ford Ranger.
