We can now show you two more images of what appear to be the facelifted 2021 Mercedes-AMG models, this time, of the front end, shot at the same location as the photograph of the rear, courtesy of the Germancarforum. It’s possible that the first one seen below is the E53 AMG and the second, with the Panamericana grille and clam-shell-style hood, the E63 or E63 S. [Updated 1/28/2019]

Less than a week after Mercedes-Benz released details about the facelifted 2021 E-Class, including several covered photos of its executive sedan, an image of an undisguised model, seemingly shot inside a company facility, has surfaced on the web.

The model in question is the high-po 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 (or the E63 S), as evidenced by the rectangular quad exhaust tips, with the most obvious change to the rear being the new wider horizontal taillamps.

What about the regular facelifted E-Class?

Obviously, it will incorporate the same styling revisions at the back as the AMG model, minus the boot spoiler and model-specific diffuser, though you’ll be able to get similar items through the AMG pack and optional accessories.

To get a better idea of what the 2021 E-Class facelift brings, we’ve included digitalized three-quarter views of the front and rear, courtesy of Kolesa, which used recent spy shots together with an uncensored image of a 2021 E-Class displayed on the vehicle’s infotainment system during testing last week, to cook up these renderings in a rather accurate fashion.

The CGI showing the front end is dominated by the reshaped headlights which sport a new DRL signature that brings the E-Class in line with the brand’s newer models. The grille seems flatter and more dynamic than on the current model, at least in this AMG Line iteration. The three-pointed star sits bang in the middle of the grille and is flanked by single louvers on each side.

The front bumper appears more dynamic too, sporting flatter side air intakes that communicate with the lower grille without any obstruction. We can also spot a chrome-finished splitter at the lower end of the front bumper.

Not much seems to change on the sides of the car – except the wheels of course. However, as we noted before, at the back, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will gain new LED taillights with a very different shape than the current model. Designers seem to have taken inspiration from the latest CLS and CLA for the taillamps (as well as the 2020 GLA and GLB), dropping the teardrop shape for a more horizontal layout that emphasizes the car’s width. Obviously, the trunk lid and rear bumper are revised too.

It won’t be long before Mercedes-Benz gives us the first details and official images on the 2021 E-Class, as the general consensus is for the world debut to take place in early March at the Geneva Motor Show.
