A sleek 1988 Porsche 928 that has only ever been driven 4,656 km (2,893 miles) since new is currently up on eBay with a $149,000 asking price. The car resides in Ontario, Canada.
The Porsche 928 was a rather intriguing car when first introduced back in the late 1970’s and was more luxurious and better suited to long journeys than the 911 of the day. It left the factory outfitted with a V8 that was mounted at the front, a radical change from the rear-mounted flat-six engines of the 911.

In 1988 form, the capacity of the V8 engine was increased from 4.5-liters to 5.0-liters so the car produced between 296hp and 316 hp depending on the market. Being a North American model, the car in the listing has the 316hp (320 PS) version. Too bad this one comes with the four-speed automatic instead of the more highly coveted five-speed manual.
What should get enthusiasts and collectors excited about the 928 in question is that with so few miles under its belt, this is as good as new – just as long as proper maintenance has been performed, something you should always check with a Porsche.
The listing states that the car has three previous owners. The first owner kept the Porsche until the summer of 2015 when it was purchased by a car dealership in Calgary. The current owner purchased it the following year and shipped it to Toronto where it was wrapped in Banana yellow in a bid to protect the pristine Venice Blue Metallic paint. That wrap has since been removed, revealing the gorgeous paint scheme that’s complemented with a set of polished silver wheels.
While the car is used, it is listed as being in “concours condition”. With that in mind, the interior appears to be just as well maintained as the paint.
