Toyota is recalling almost 700,000 vehicles in the United States due to a fuel pump issue.
According to the car manufacturer, select 2018-2019 Toyota and Lexus models feature a fuel pump that may stop working. No explanation has been given as to why, but if it does, the engine may run rough, could stall, and may be unable to be restarted. If the vehicle were to stall at higher speeds, it could trigger a crash. Additionally, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel due to the faulty fuel pump.
