The first-generation 1966-1967 Dodge Charger may not be as notorious as its 1968-1970 successor, but in the right specification it’s a very special automobile.
It’s very rare to find an unrestored 1966 Dodge Charger in original configuration that looks as good as this example that’s up for sale on eBay. Make no mistake, this is no ordinary 1966 Charger: it features the 426-cu in (7.0-liter) Hemi V8 motor and the four-speed manual transmission, making it one of just 257 cars built in this configuration.
Of the 37,344 Chargers produced in 1966, only 468 had the 425 HP Hemi engine, with only 257 of those also featuring the Chrysler HD A-833 close ratio 4-speed gearbox. This particular Dark Green Paint-colored Dodge Charger is said to have had three owners since new and the engine rebuilt in the 1990s and upgraded to 600 HP thanks in part to Dual 4-BBL Carburetors.

Since then, the seller located in Gaithersburg, Maryland says the car has been driven for approximately 2,000 miles (3,216 km). Prior to being put up for sale, the 1966 Charger has undergone a full service and a 120-point inspection covering mechanical, electrical and safety.
The interior is stock and still features the original seat covers on the front and rear black bucket seats, full factory console, stainless interior trim, and three-spoke steering wheel. The car also comes with the original factory Chrysler AM radio and optional rally dash with 150 mph speedometer and 6,000 rpm tachometer.
Other optional equipment present on this rare 1966 Dodge Charger Hemi includes the fast ratio power steering, power brakes and a second “fresh air” engine hood. According to the seller, the car also comes with a warranty packet, receipts and documents from new.
Available to be seen at Flemings Ultimate Garage in Rockville, Maryland, this rare 1966 Charger is listed with a buy-it-now price of $99,990.
