The New England Auto Show barely gets any attention, but that’s changing today as Jeep has used the event to introduce the new North Editions.
Designed to appeal to people living in cold climates, the North Editions are based on the Renegade Sport, Compass Sport, Cherokee Latitude, Grand Cherokee Laredo, Gladiator Overland and Wrangler Sahara.
All of the models will feature their usual standard equipment as well as four-wheel drive and all-season or all-terrain tires. The special editions also come with power heated mirrors, tow hooks and a Trail Rated kit that includes D-rings, gloves, a safety kit, a carabiner and a tow strap.

To take off the winter chill, the models will be equipped with a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Owners will also be able to get into a warm vehicle straight away as each North Edition comes with a remote starting system.
Rounding out the highlights are all-weather floor mats and an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with SiriusXM Travel Link Weather.
While the changes are minor, Jeep’s North American boss, Jim Morrison, said “Every Jeep 4×4 is engineered to easily tackle winter, and our new North Editions add features and technology to make winter driving even more of a pleasure.” He went on to describe Jeeps as an owner’s best friend in winter.
Pricing varies by model, but the Renegade North Edition will start at $26,670. This makes it slightly cheaper than the Compass and Cherokee North Editions which retail for $27,800 and $29,755 respectively. The other North Editions are more expensive as the Grand Cherokee costs $38,790 while the Wrangler and Gladiator are priced just below and above the $45,000 mark.
