Lexus is giving its NX and UX crossovers two striking special editions, both on display at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon.
Say hello to the precious-looking Lexus NX Bronze Edition and the intense UX Blue Edition. Named after the unique colors they wear on the outside and the inside, these two special edition models are aimed exclusively at the Japanese market – at least for now.
Starting off with the NX Bronze Edition, it’s based on the NX 300 ‘I package’ trim level and it combines a Sonic Titanium Metallic body color with bronze-painted 18-inch aluminum wheels for a striking effect. Other unique exterior elements include the black-painted spindle grille and frame, and body-color wheel arch moldings.

Inside, the Lexus NX Bronze Edition features accents in the color of the semi-precious metal, including dashboard and door ornaments, as well as the stitching on the seats, steering wheel, gear stick, center console, center armrest and door panels.
In addition to the bronze cure, this special edition Lexus NX features upgraded equipment that includes blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, parking support brake, power retractable side mirrors in black, door welcome lighting, and the hands-free power tailgate. The Lexus NX Bronze Edition costs 4,900,000 yen ($44,690) in FWD configuration and 5,165,000 yen ($47,110) in AWD guise.
Moving on to the Lexus UX Blue Edition, its standout feature is the Celestial Blue solid paint with glass flakes that sparkle in sunlight. Based on the UX 200, the special edition model also features 17-inch Dark Gray Metallic alloys, a cobalt and black interior design scheme with contrasting blue dashboard ornament panel, black fabric seats with white stitching and aluminum scuff plates with Lexus lettering.
The standard specification includes LED fog lamps and cornering lamps, roof rails, a hands-free power tailgate, and parking support brake. The Lexus UX Blue Edition is priced at 4,050,000 yen ($36,950) in Japan.
