Word has it that Porsche is working on something called the Cayenne Coupe GT, a variant even more powerful than the current Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe flagship.
What could be more grunty than a 670 HP sloped-roof Porsche SUV you ask? Something with over 800 HP for starters, as rumors suggest. And yet, the powertrain specs remain a mystery, with the Lamborghini Urus’ 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 unit also in play, meaning “just” 641 HP.
Now, if you’re wondering why we suspect this white prototype of being this rumored GT variant, well, look no further than its center-mounted exhaust pipes, suggesting this is no ordinary Cayenne Coupe.

If you’re still not convinced, just think back to that red/orange prototype we showed you back in November, whose rear diffuser was also attempting to hide center-mounted exhaust pipes. We also think some of the body panels on this white prototype look a bit fake, meaning it could be hiding the fact that this is indeed a more powerful Turbo S E-Hybrid variant.
The latter currently combines a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 with an electric motor, for a total system output of 670 HP (679 PS) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque – this is enough to get you from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package, and onto a top speed of 183 mph (294 km/h).
Boosting output to somewhere north of 800 horses could cut the 0-60 time down to roughly 3 seconds sharp, if not less. As for a hypothetical price tag, since the 2020 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe costs upwards of $164,400, a considerably more powerful variant could conceivable break the $200,000 mark.
