There are a multitude of eye-catching colors and shades available through the BMW Individual program and these two are among the most intriguing.
The cars in question are both BMW M3 Competitions that are powered by a 450 PS (444 HP / 331 kW) 3.0-liter straight-six turbo and up for sale from a dealership in Germany on Autoscout. The first is in a special, olive color known as Messing Metallic while the second is a shimmering brown dubbed Macadamia Metallic.
Starting with the Messing Metallic M3 Competition, it is priced at €64,990 or about $72,000 at current exchange rates and has covered 15,596 km or just under 9,700 miles. It’s perhaps the less stylish of the two paint schemes, at least to my eyes.
With that being said, it does appear to sparkle under different lights and when viewed from certain angles, gives off a bit of a gold tinge. The inside of the sports sedan features a mix of brown and black leather and also features a host of carbon fiber parts. It certainly looks like a nice place to sit.

As for the second M3 Competition, painted Macadamia Metallic, it’s listed at €65,790 (about $73,000) and has 12,696 km (7,888 miles) under its belt.
It almost looks like a chrome wrap in these photos although a quick Google search will show you that under normal conditions, it is actually quite a dark shade of brown. Painting a car like the M3 in brown may sound rather odd when you consider how many other colors are available through BMW Individual but we happen to think it looks quite nice.
It’s hard to know exactly how many colors are offered through BMW Individual at any one time as alterations to the palette are always being made but there’s thought to be more than 300 colors available. These two wouldn’t be our first picks but they’re certainly unique.
