Not that we are complaining or anything, but Cadillac hasn’t done a real good job at hiding the design of the all-new Escalade. We saw pictures of it from the factory and even managed to get an exclusive look at the cabin, so we have a good idea on what to expect, on the styling front at least.
Now, Kolesa looked at the previous scoops and leaks and came up with these refined digital pictures that shed more light on the big premium SUV. The front end looks almost the same as the one example picture in the plant last month and is dominated by a huge grille with chrome surrounds, slim headlights and big vertical LED DRLs.

The vehicle has a boxy profile, a long straight roof that ends with a spoiler at the back and convoluted tailgate design, with a chrome strip that spans between the vertical taillights. Further down, we see the diffuser that was nicely incorporated into the bumper and sports rectangular tailpipes. The new-gen Escalade sits on large wheels with a multi-spoke design and has more chrome detailing on the outside.
The interior is more premium than what you’d get in a Tahoe or Yukon, and aside from the high-end materials, Caddy has fitted it with a 15-inch display and widescreen infotainment system and digital dials. The high center console provides easy access to the rotary dial and gear shifter. There are still lots of buttons used to control most functions of the SUV.
Power will likely come from the outgoing 6.2-liter V8, rated at 420 hp and paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2-liter supercharged V8 remains a possibility, too.
Cadillac will uncover the fifth-gen Escalade next week, on February 4, with an anticipated market launch in the second quarter of the year.
