This year’s Geneva Motor Show will have a few noteworthy absentees but organizers are looking to make it special thanks to the construction of a large 456-meter (1,496-ft) indoor test track.
The circuit will be located in Hall 7 of the Palexpo convention center where the Geneva Motor Show is held. Located in the center of the circuit will be a special ‘VIP Lounge’ that will offer different foods and drinks to attendees while also acting as a space to help escape the hustle-and-bustle of the show’s main halls.
No fewer than 48 vehicles from 15 manufacturers will be featured at the track. Manufacturers set to be present include Aiways, Audi, BMW, DS Automobiles, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Smart, Toyota, and Volkswagen. Attendees will be able to enjoy three laps behind the wheel of their chosen car while accompanied by an expert in the passenger seat.

Approximately 11,000 ‘Discovery Drives’ will take place during the course of the show. As some 600,000 people are expected to attend the show, reservations for drives will be made through a raffle on the Geneva International Motor Show app available on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
As always, Carscoops will provide comprehensive coverage of the Geneva Motor Show, bringing you the breaking news and all of the exciting new cars scheduled to premiere at the event. Among the brands not attending this year’s event are Peugeot, Opel, and Lamborghini. Citroen may also be absent.
