The E39-generation BMW M5 might very well be the best-looking M5 ever and a stunning example is currently up for sale courtesy of Autoleitner in the Netherlands.
Unlike some more recent iterations of the 5-Series and range-topping M5 models, we happen to think the design of the E39 model is virtually timeless. While this may be a 1999 model, it still looks good and has been well maintained by its sole owner.
Not Cheap: Low-Mileage BMW E39 M5 Is Certainly Desirable – But $150K Desirable?
Adorning the exterior is a stunning shade of 324 Oxford Green Metallic and a set of silver 18-inch wheels shod in 245/40 and 275/35 Dunlop SP Sport tires at the front and rear respectively. There are no obvious dings or dents in the bodywork and all of the chrome touches, including the front grille, badges, and tailpipes look as good as new.
It’s a similar story in the cabin. The seats are finished in Heritage Caramel Nappa leather and have been looked after very well over the last two decades. The wooden trim also appears to be in good condition even though it looks quite dated. Among the key features include a sunroof, electric rear awning, mobile phone in the armrest, electric lumbar support, cruise control, navigation, TV, and a six-CD changer.
The M5 is being sold with a well-documented service history and has just 35,066 km (21,789 miles) on the clock. Given how nicely presented the car is, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it’s not overly cheap, wearing a sticker price of 49,500 euros ($55,349).
