You can probably tell that we’re suckers for finely-crafted Lego projects that involve anything on wheels, and if you’re like us, then you will likely appreciate this home-built Cadillac Series 355.

Inspired by the 355C that debuted in 1933, succeeding the 355A and 355B of 1931 and 1932, and preceding the 355D and 355E of 1934 and 1935, respectively, it’s listed on LegoIdeas with more than 500 days left at the time of writing to attract another 8,000 supporters.

The scale model mirrors the look of the classic Caddy to the smallest detail, from the long hood, large grille, round headlights and chrome bumper, to the shape of the fenders, side steps and back end. The five-passenger Town Sedan, as it used to be named back in the day, features operable doors and trunk, and to get a better access inside, you could remove the roof. This would reveal the detailed dashboard, pedals, rearview mirror and other parts.

With the small bricks assembled the right way, this miniature of the old timer is 292 mm (11.5in) long, 104 mm (4.1 in) wide and 95 mm (3.7 in) tall.

In order to highlight the custom build, its creator, who also has one stunning Trabant 601 shared on LegoIdeas, with almost 6,000 supporters and more than 200 days left of voting, took it out for a proper photo shoot and did the same to the car made in the days of the Eastern Bloc. You can check out both of them in our Gallery down below, and if you feel the vibe, you’d better hit that ‘Vote’ button on both projects.
