The first official photos of the 2021 Kia Sorento have been published prior to the vehicle’s Geneva Motor Show premiere next month.
These photos, as well as recent spy shots, reveal that the new Sorento looks drastically different than its predecessor and has a far more striking appearance. The front of the 2021 model is particularly bold thanks to the presence of the marque’s ‘tiger nose’ grille that seamlessly flows into the headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Elsewhere, Kia says it has stretched the wheelbase of the new Sorento while also shortening the front and rear overhangs. The sides of the SUV are also particularly eye-catching thanks to sharp rear side windows and a decorative piece of silver trim on the C-pillar. Found at the rear are split taillights, a spoiler stretching off the roof, and prominent ‘Sorento’ badging.
Kia has also dropped images of the vehicle’s redesigned interior. Sitting in the center of the new cabin is a large 10.12-inch touchscreen infotainment system while beneath it are some physical air conditioning and heating controls. Drivers can also enjoy a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Also visible is colorful ambient lighting and two-tone leather trim.
The South Korean car manufacturer has yet to announce technical specifications for the 2021 Sorento and as such, engine details remained unconfirmed. With that being said, recent spy shots revealed the SUV will be offered in an ‘ECO Hybrid’ guise which could feature a similar 2.0-liter turbo and electric powertrain to the 2020 Kia Optima Hybrid.
We’ll have full details on the 2021 Kia Sorento on March 3, 2020 at its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
