Toyota is introducing the new Trail Special editions for the 2021 Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner models at the Chicago Auto Show, aiming at customers with a more outdoorsy lifestyle.

The new special editions of the Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner focus on extra storage and convenience, mixed with exclusive equipment and a few unique styling touches.

Toyota’s new Trail special edition models are based on the SR5 grade and can be ordered with either 2WD or 4WD.

2021 Toyota Tacoma Trail

The new Toyota Tacoma Trail is based on the SR5 Double Cab, while the Tundra Trail is based on the SR5 Crew Max with the Upgrade Package that includes a bigger fuel tank, front bucket seats and more.

All three models feature black exterior badging, black seats with tan stitching, and all-weather floor liners. The Tacoma Trail gets a set of 18-inch TRD Off-Road wheels shod in Kevlar All-Terrain tires, a 115-volt power outlet in the bed, as well as a lockable storage compartment that can double as a cooler.

2021 Toyota Tundra Trail

The Toyota Tundra Trail features the same front chrome grille from the 1794 Edition model, complete with color-matched surround, as well as special wheels. It also gets a lockable storage compartment, just like the Tacoma Trail.

2021 Toyota 4Runner Trail

Finally, the new Toyota 4Runner Trail features dark gray TRD Off-Road wheels, a Yakima LoadWarrior rooftop cargo basket, a sliding cargo tray and a custom 40-quart cooler, which has been custom made for Toyota USA.

Customers of Toyota’s new Trail Edition models will be able to choose between Army Green, Cement, Midnight Black and Super White. Toyota also adds that it will offer 7,000 Tacomas, 5,000 Tundras and 4,000 4Runners as Trail Editions, starting from this summer.
