There’s no shortage of wild Bugatti concept renderings on the web but we rarely come across one that is actually endorsed by the Molsheim-based hypercar manufacturer.
Meet the Bugatti Vision Le Mans, a spectacular study for a Hypercar class endurance race car that could fight for the overall title at the world’s most famous 24-hour race. The concept is actually a bachelor thesis of designer Max Lask, a graduate of the Braunschweig University of Arts in Germany.
So what about Bugatti endorsing this design study? Well, Lask tells us he did an internship at Bugatti Automobiles in summer 2019, with the exclusive brand also officially endorsing and sponsoring his bachelor thesis in winter 2019/2020.

Apparently, Bugatti was sold on his work because Max was hired as an exterior designer by the VW-owned French brand after that. Looking at these renderings, it’s not hard to see why. The Vision Le Mans is a wild-looking thing that’s still recognizable as a Bugatti.
Max Lask took signature elements like the Bugatti horseshoe grille, two-tone blue paint and wheels inspired by the 2015 Vision GT, and mixed them with the new regulations for the Le Mans Hypercar class and the wildest aerodynamic package we’ve seen in a long time.
The result is absolutely mind-blowing – just look at that massive “hole” in the middle of the car. Basically, air does not go round the Vision Le Mans, it flows straight through it.
Spectacular details also include the multi-level wings and visible pushrod suspension at the front, vertical LED lights seamlessly integrated into the aerodynamic elements and the intricate design of the rear wing with freestanding elements.
Is Bugatti actually planning a Le Mans Hypercar racer? We don’t know, but if it is, we keep our fingers crossed it will look very similar to this.
