Top Gear recently had the opportunity to put the all-new Porsche Taycan Turbo S through its paces and in this preview video from the latest episode, host Chris Harris sees how the car performs on track.
The example driven by Harris is painted in a lovely shade of silver and rolls on a set of black wheels. Inside, it is clad in a stunning combination of black and red leather and looks like a lovely place to sit. Then we come to the driving experience.
Porsche is particularly proud of how consistently the Taycan Turbo S gets off the line regardless of its state of charge and how hard it has been driven. To see if this is true or not, Harris performs a number of balls to the wall acceleration runs in the all-electric Porsche and appears very pleased with how easily and efficiently it gets off the line.

The journalist then finds out what it’s like through the corners and as other recent reviews have suggested, it feels like a true Porsche around a circuit, despite its weight and all-electric powertrain. As if that wasn’t enough, the car can also be forced into an impressive amount of oversteer with an experienced driver behind the wheel.
When it came time for The Stig to hustle the Porsche Taycan Turbo S around the Top Gear test track, it set a blistering time of just 1:17.6, putting it ahead of the likes of the original Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari Enzo, and Koenigsegg CCX.
