A brand new supermini that costs as much as a sandwich? Surely, there must be something fishy going on here, and it is, because these are just scale models of the 2020 Citroen C3.
Replicating the looks of the real subcompact hatchback at 1/43 and 1/64 scales, they cost €37 ($40) and €5 ($6), respectively, with the former being available in Elixir Red and Spring Blue, and the latter in Red, Blue, Sand and White.

The scale models are available on Citroen’s official website here, where you could also land other miniatures, like the C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross, for €37 ($40) each, as well as the Ami One Concept and Mehari for €39 ($42) and €65 ($70), respectively.
Facelifted for the 2020 model year, the third generation C3 is the brand’s answer to the Volkswagen Polo, Ford Fiesta, Renault Clio, Opel/Vauxhall Corsa and other small hatchbacks. It features a new face, some colorful details, new wheels and colors. The cabin has been slightly updated, with new soft touch materials, trims and stitching, and incorporates a 7-inch touchscreen display infotainment system with smartphone integration, voice recognition, sat-nav and integrated dashcam.
Powering the facelifted C3 is the 1.2-liter three-pot petrol unit, available with 82 and 108 horsepower, and the 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel making 98 horsepower. The latter two can be paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, for an extra cost.
The 2020 C3 will arrive at dealers in select European countries shortly, with pricing to be announced. The outgoing iteration starts at €14,450 ($15,648) in France, €12,990 ($14,067) in Germany and £16,200 ($17,543) in the United Kingdom.
