Dacia has become the only car manufacturer in the United Kingdom to offer a factory-fitted bi-fuel solution in its lineup, with the introduction of this new powertrain.
Available in the Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Logan MCV, Logan MCV Stepway and Duster, the 1.0-liter turbocharged 100 PS (99 HP / 74 kW) mill combines petrol and LPG for “reduced fuel costs, lower emissions and improved performance without compromising on quality”.

All models feature an LPG tank where the spare wheel was normally found, with a 32-liter (1.1 cu-ft) capacity in all models but the SUV, where it has 34 liters (1.2 cu-ft). The placement of the additional tank does not eat into the boot space capacity and lets users enjoy a maximum range of up to 620 miles (1,000 km) before stopping for fuel.
In the Sandero, the new powertrain is offered for the Essential and Comfort grades, priced at £9,095 and £10,095 ($11,762-$13,055 /€10,776-€11,961) respectively. The Sandero Stepway adds the SE Twenty trim level too and is priced between £10,295 ($13,314/€12,198) and £11,695 ($15,125/€13,857). The Logan MCV and Logan MCV Stepway Bi-Fuel mirror the trim levels of the hatchback and will set you back £10,595 ($13,702/€12,553) for the regular estate and £12,795 ($16,547/€15,160) for the jacked-up Stepway.
As far as the Duster Bi-Fuel goes, you can choose between Essential, Comfort, SE Twenty and Prestige specs. Pricing starts at £12,895 ($16,677/€15,279) and grows to £14,395 ($18,616/€17,056) and £15,045 ($19,457/€17,826) for the two mid-spec variants, while the top-of-the-line version costs £15,595 ($20,168/€18,478).
