After tuning the mechanicals of the Volkswagen T6.1 last month, ABT Sportsline has now launched an aerodynamic body kit for the facelifted van.

Updates consist of front-skirt and grille add-ons, new side skirts that suit both wheelbase lengths of the vehicle, rear diffuser that incorporates four glossy tailpipes, and a roof wing.

‘ABT’ badges have been added to the grille and tailgate and rounding out the visuals are new aftermarket wheels available in two designs. The DR and GR series rims, sized 8.5×19 inches and 9×20 inches, respectively, can be had in diamond machined finish or glossy black with diamond machined flange.

For the suspension, the tuner turned to Bilstein, which gave the T6.1 an adjustable kit that makes gives it a more aggressive stance. The front and rear ends can be lowered between 40 and 70 mm (1.6-2.8 in), but if you want something simpler, the ABT suspension springs (currently under development) will, perhaps, suit your needs better.

As for the power upgrades, these target the 2.0-liter TDI and lift the output from 199 PS (196 HP / 146 kW) to 223 PS (226 HP / 166 kW), with peak torque increasing from 450 to 490 Nm (332-361 lb-ft). The lesser version of the oil burner can also be equipped with the tuner’s engine control unit for extra muscle. The result is 180 PS (177 HP / 132 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, up from a stock 150 PS (148 HP / 110 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft).

Now, would you be willing to equip your T6.1 with the body kit or would you rather keep it stock? Either way, that power boost could come in handy.
