Vilner has started the new year in full force, by presenting yet another project with a custom interior and exterior modifications, a 1998 Porsche 991 Carrera Cabriolet.
When it arrived at the Bulgarian tuner, the German sports car was in dire need of some TLC. The company responded by completely revamping the cockpit, wrapping almost all touchable surfaces in brown leather, with white and blue contrast stitching and X-shape suture with leather strip on the upper part of the dashboard and seats. As you can probably tell, that sounds better than it looks.

Aside from the baseball glove style patterns, Vilner also used blue leather on the steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, gear shifter, armrest and sun visors. Other custom touches include wood appliques, the tuner’s special badging, grey plastics finished in a custom paint named Vilner Copper Rose, which was first used on the Datsun 280Z that they presented last year, and perhaps the best news here, a plate with the ‘01/01’ numbering indicating that only one example like this exists.
Before calling it a day, Vilner slightly updated the exterior design of the 20-year old 996 to match the interior, with copper accents at both ends and copper wheels with blue center caps. The body wears a blue paint finish that resembles some of the interior trim.
Tipping the scales at 1,450 kg (3,197 lbs), the 911 Carrera Cabriolet is powered by the 3.4-liter flat-six. The engine kicks out 300 horsepower and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque and works in conjunction with an auto ‘box.
Now it’s your turn to speak your mind about the project in the comments. Have fun.
