The facelifted 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage (also known as the Space Star in select European markets) has reached UK shores.
The revamped supermini has gone on sale in Britain with a starting price of £10,550 OTR, marking an unusual £745 price reduction over the 2019 model which used to start at £11,295.
Unveiled in Thailand in November 2019, the facelifted Mitsubishi Mirage brings a restyled front end featuring the brand’s ‘Dynamic Shield’ grille and bumper, along with new headlights which are now available with LEDs.

Exterior updates also include a new rear bumper with angular recesses on each corner, as well as new LED taillights, two-tone 15-inch wheels and two new colors (White Diamond and Sand Yellow). The 2020 Mirage offers a more elegant and well-appointed interior with enhanced equipment too. Updates include new door trims and switch panels, new high-contrast instruments and new upholstery.
It also gets the 6.5-inch Smartphone Display Audio (SDA) system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth and satellite navigation. The powertrain stays the same 80 HP 1.2-liter three-cylinder MIVEC petrol unit but Mitsubishi claims it now offers improved economy and emissions. The Mirage comes with a standard five-speed manual or CVT automatic option (for Design and First Edition models).
The introduction of the 2020 Mirage also marks a reshuffle of the range, which now adopts the nomenclature of the rest of Mitsubishi’s UK lineup. Therefore, the Mirage is offered in three trim levels: entry-level Verve, mid-range Design and high-specification limited number First Edition.
The base Mitsubishi Mirage Verve is equipped as standard with a rear spoiler, remote central locking, electric windows and mirrors, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, air conditioning, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and Bluetooth connectivity.
The mid-range Design grade (from £12,495 OTR) adds 15-inch black and silver alloys, front grille with red accent, rear privacy glass, electric folding door mirrors, Keyless Operation System with push-button engine start/stop, SDA audio system, faux leather and fabric seats, height adjustable passenger’s seat and a leather-trimmed gear lever.
The First Edition variant (from £14,035 OTR) adds safety and comfort equipment including Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), LED headlights and DRLs, front grille with chrome accent, front fog lights, First Edition badging, rear parking sensors, cruise control, heated front seats, and automatic climate control.
