The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is here and in the first-hands on videos below from the likes of Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds, and Roadshow, we’re provided with an in-depth look at the luxurious new SUV.
Much like its cousins the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, the new Escalade is much larger than previous iterations thanks to a new platform and independent rear suspension. Third-row legroom is improved by 40 per cent up to 34.9 inches (886 mm) in the standard model while cargo space at the rear now sits at 22.5 cubic feet (722 liters), 68 per cent greater than the outgoing Escalade.
It’s not just the increased size that makes the cabin of the new Escalade special. The car manufacturer has ensured the SUV is much more luxurious than ever before and this is particularly evident through the new premium leather, wood trim, and metallic accents found throughout. The reviewers in these videos seem especially impressed with the cabin.

Also found within are numerous new technologies, most notably the three curved screens sitting in front of the driver. The left-most screen measures 7.2-inches and shows key vehicle functions, the central screen is a 14.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and the right screen measures 16.9-inch and houses the infotainment system. The screens use OLED technology to deliver twice the pixel density of a 4K television.
One feature Edmunds seems particularly impressed with are the two available audio systems from AKG. Base models come complete with no less than 19 speakers and a subwoofer while an optional AKF Studio Reference system offers 36 speakers and three amplifiers.
In terms of power, the Escalade receives a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque. A 3.0-liter turbodiesel six-cylinder also joins the range with 277 hp and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque on tap while coupled to a ten-speed automatic transmission.
The 2021 Cadillac Escalade will be launched in the third quarter. Pricing has yet to be announced.
