Hyundai will reveal not only the all-new i20 supermini at the Geneva Motor Show next month, but also the facelifted i30 compact family.
The company is offering a preview of the 2021 i30 in two official design sketches depicting the N Line variant. Leaving aside the exaggerations typical of official sketches, these CGIs reveal a much sportier face for the Hyundai i30.
Styling upgrades include a muscular front bumper which in N Line trim looks like it belongs on a hot hatch, sleeker LED headlights with Hyundai’s V-shaped DRLs, as well as a new grille with an updated mesh pattern.

According to the automaker, these updates give the 2021 Hyundai i30 a wider look and stronger stance. That’s all we get to see of the facelifted model for now, but the company says it will release more images in the coming weeks.
The upcoming teasers will show the new rear bumper, taillights and alloy wheels in 16-, 17- and 18-inch styles. Hyundai says the refreshed i30 also boasts an enhanced interior design, with upgrades including a new digital instrument cluster and a larger 10.25-inch display.

The facelifted Hyundai i30 will also mark the expansion of the N Line grade to the i30 Wagon, meaning the sporty trim level will be available on all i30 body styles for the first time: Hatchback, Fastback and Wagon.
There’s no official word on powertrain updates, though Hyundai could update the existing engines to lower their CO2 emissions – possibly via the use of mild-hybrid systems. Expect the facelifted i30 family to go on sale in Europe not long after the official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Hyundai did not say if the i30’s styling updates will be applied to North America’s Elantra GT as well.
