Keep Your Classic Bugatti In Perfect Shape With New ‘La Maison Pur Sang’ Program

Bugatti has launched a new used car program at 2020 Retromobile Paris that will provide better care for its historical vehicles in the future.

Named ‘La Maison Pur Sang’, which translates to ‘The Thoroughbred House’, it is run by Luigi Galli, the company’s specialist for Tradition and Certification. Galli will be the main contact for owners of classic Bugattis and will keep in touch with different clubs worldwide.

Mr. Galli and his team will determine the genuineness of a car using every trick in the book, such as historical and photo documents, admission registers or comparison of certain component numbers. Subsequent to this stage, Bugatti’s division will be able to restore the car in the future, as the program is being rolled out gradually.

“We’re conscious of our 110+ years of tradition and want to enable many of our historical vehicles to continue to drive perfectly on the road or to be in collections even after decades”, said CEO Stephan Winkelmann. “With ‘La Maison Pur Sang’, we offer an official framework for these automotive treasures. It is very important to protect and preserve Bugatti’s tradition and heritage, as well as the existing knowledge of the brand.”

In other related news, Bugatti has also launched a new loyalty program for the Veyron, which allows it to extend the guarantee. As the hypercar turns 15 this year, the company based in Molsheim will provide regular maintenance that’s said to reduce the total cost by a half. Examples that have seen a lot in their days will be reconfigured and restored in the future, a process followed by official re-certification, so that owners will continue to enjoy them at full pace.

At the Retromobile Paris 2020, which runs in France’s capital between February 5 and 9, Bugatti has a few old timers on display, including the Type 35C, which is “the most successful racing car of all time” with more than 2,000 victories. With up to 140 horsepower produced by the 2.0-liter engine, it was the car to beat between 1920 and 1930. The EB110 SS and Veyron Grand Sport are also showcased at the event.
