This Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray left the factory looking just like any other but has since been transformed into a wild creation that would be right at home in the next Mad Max film.

Instagram page madmaxc7 details the wild build. While we can’t say for sure, it looks as though the man behind the project bought a wrecked silver C7 Corvette with a salvage title and set about transforming it.

One of the first modifications made to the car involved the fitment of a set of truly gargantuan wheels and tires that appear to stick out 6 to 8-inches beyond the rear wheel arches. Next, much of the car’s bodywork was stripped away and replaced with an exterior cage that wraps around the front fascia, the sides, roof, and the rear end.

With the crazy steel frame complete, the car has been outfitted with a towering rear wing that sits on four custom-made uprights. In early January, the exoskeleton and rear wing were all painted black and recently the car has been equipped with a bespoke hood that adds to the aggression and makes the Corvette look very scary indeed.

We’re not convinced the huge wheel and tire combination would make for the nicest ride nor the most direct handling but they certainly give the ‘Vette a unique look. All it needs now is a big LED light bar on the roof so it can go off-roading out in the wilderness.
