Last week, the Audi RS Q8 arrived at ABT Sportsline, which made it a tad more powerful than the Lamborghini Urus’ 650 PS (641 HP / 478 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) by giving it 700 PS (690 HP / 515 kW) and 880 Nm (649 lb-ft).
Now, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8-powered super crossover paid a visit to MTM, which lifted the bar with their M-Cantronic Gen II ECU upgrade that gives it 722 PS (712 HP / 531 kW) and 950 Nm (701 lb-ft), up from the stock model’s 600 PS (592 HP / 441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). If that’s not enough, then there’s the ECU Stage 1 kit that unleashes 787 PS (776 HP / 579 kW) and 1,030 Nm (760 lb-ft).
Review: Could The 2020 Audi RS Q8 Be The One To Rule Them All?
What will it cost you? Well, you’re looking at €4,250 (equal to $4,651 at current exchange rates) for the 722 PS upgrade and more than double that at €9,999 ($10,942) for the 787 PS Stage 1 conversion in Germany, plus another €1,100 ($1,204) or €2,100 ($2,298) if you want a piece of mind with the tuner’s 2- or 3-year warranty respectively.
The finances should not be an issue for anyone who can afford the RS Q8, as it starts from €127,000 ($138,981) in Germany, and that’s before selecting any kind of options. Nevertheless, choosing Audi Sport’s model will let you enjoy a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration of only 3.8 seconds, without any mods, and a top speed of up to 305 km/h (190 mph) when opting for the Dynamic Package.
Speaking of extras, MTM has numerous other upgrades and parts available for the RS Q8, such as lowered springs and coilovers, 20 and 30 mm (0.8-1.2 in) wheel spacers, license plate holders, custom carpet and boot mats, alongside different logos and keyrings and others.
