Automobili Pininfarina has teased a limited-edition variant of the Battista hypercar it will premiere at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

The car, officially dubbed the Pininfarina Battista Anniversario, will be capped at just five units and celebrates the 90th anniversary of Pininfarina. Limited details about the Battista Anniversario are known but Pininfarina says it will have “enhanced dynamic abilities” thanks to a revised aerodynamic package while also sporting a unique “heritage-inspired livery.”

Pininfarina’s announcement of the Battista Anniversario comes shortly after the car manufacturer commenced on-track development of the hypercar.

Used by the Battista is a Rimac-sourced powertrain that features four electric motors and a 120 kWh battery pack that combine to produce 1,873 hp and 1,696 lb-ft (2,300 Nm) of torque. Pininfarina claims the finished Battista will be good for 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in under 2 seconds as well as a top speed exceeding 217 mph (350 km/h).

Recently discussing the car, head of development Rene Wollman, said “The mule vehicles running the chassis and powertrain concepts for Battista have already achieved 80 per cent of their performance capability without issue. This means that our EV performance is already equal to the most powerful combustion engine-powered hypercar currently in the world. And in the simulation and wind tunnel testing phase, by fine tuning the aero packaging, we’ve already seen a significant increase in the potential range of Battista versus our original prediction.”

This summer, select customers will have the chance to test out the Battista for themselves at exclusive test drive events.
