GFG Style has a history of introducing concepts at the Geneva Motor Show and this year will be no different as they’ll showcase the 2030.
Set to follow the Kangaroo and Sibylla, the 2030 is an “electric hyper SUV dedicated to Saudi Arabia.”
The model was originally unveiled in Riyadh last November and its name is designed to recall the country’s Vision 2030 project which aims to “create a vibrant society in which all citizens can fulfill their dreams, hopes and ambitions to succeed in a thriving economy.” As part of this effort, Saudi Arabia wants to become less dependent on oil and grow industries such as tourism.
Getting back to the 2030, it’s not really an SUV but rather a stylish two-seater sports car with all-wheel drive. The company hasn’t released details specifications, but confirmed the model has a carbon fiber body and an aluminum frame. The car also has a two-tone exterior which pays tribute to Saudi Arabia.
Speaking of styling, the 2030 has a protruding front fascia which is surrounded by contrasting C-shaped accents. There’s also bulging fenders and a rakish windscreen. We can also see a unique rear end as well as a roof which opens upwards to improve entry and egress.
The unique styling continues in the cabin as drivers sit behind an open steering wheel and find themselves looking at a digital instrument cluster. The latter has a display on each side and they apparently show video from the door-mounted cameras. Other highlights include carbon fiber and wood trim as well as a large infotainment system with a portrait orientation.
Little is known about the powertrain, but GFG says the 2030 can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and hit 124 mph (200 km/h) on “any terrain.” The vehicle also has a range of 230 miles (365 km) on a single charge.
The 2030 will be one of three models on display at the Geneva Motor Show. The company didn’t say much about the other vehicles, but noted they will be staging two world previews. That’s not much to go one, but a teaser image suggests one of the vehicles will be the Sibylla concept.
