We’ve seen classic Porsche 911s with modern touches before, but this one eschews the usual approach, as it went for a retro design in the hands of DP Motorsport.
The German tuner was commissioned to reinterpret the way this 1985 911 looks, so it was transformed into a 911 S/T, a model that paved the road for the RS and RSR in the early 1970s.

Among the changes, the company notes the custom bodywork, including the front and rear bumpers, turn signal elements, front fenders and hood, parking light surrounds, side skirts and chrome-plated side mirror casings, window surrounds and door handles. The car is finished in GT Silver Metallic, with black stripes, and rides on 8×15-inch front and 9×15-inch rear wheels, wrapped in Michelin 225/50 and 270/45 tires.
The interior stays true to the theme, featuring body-hugging seats wrapped in fabric and synthetic leather, four-point harness and roll cage. It’s also equipped with an aftermarket carpet that’s lighter than the regular one, knee rails and door panels made from braided plastic reinforced with fiberglass, plexiglass rear window and a few other gizmos.
Signed by KW, the custom suspension is joined by a new exhaust system, while the firepower comes from the 964’s 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, tuned to push out 290 PS (286 HP / 213 kW) and 324 Nm (239 lb-ft) of torque.
Speaking about the build, Patrick Zimmermann, the son of the company’s founder and the man holding the reins today, said: “It was not our intention to create a 100 percent faithful replica of the Porsche 911 S/T. Instead, we were concerned with stylish sports equipment with a considerable amount of fun.”
DP Motorsport does not exclude other similar projects in the future, so we’ll definitely keep an eye on them.
