The all-new Fiat 500 has been digitally stung by a scorpion and wants to develop superpowers.

Rendered by XTomi in the hot Abarth guise, the tiny electric hatchback has put on a white jog suit with red accents on the lower parts of the body, side mirror caps, front skirt and wheels.

The body kit comprises of a re-done front bumper, with bigger side air intakes, different grille pattern and added apron, fender attachments on all four corners and beefier side skirts. The chrome elements have been painted black, and the oversized wheels, lowered ground clearance, bigger brakes and ‘Abarth’ badges round up the revised stance.

Now, to address the elephant in the room, there’s no indication (yet) that Abarth will have its way with the new Fiat 500, but it certainly makes sense to do so, if the brands want to move into the future. If it does, expect a similar makeup and a more potent powertrain to further distance the two models apart.

For the time being, the 500, which is based on an entirely new platform, is offered with a 116 horsepower electric motor that pushes it from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in a respectable 9 seconds, with quite fast takeoffs: 0-31 mph (0-50 km/h) done in 3.1 seconds. It’s capable of hitting a maximum speed of 93 km/h (150 mph). The 42 kWh lithium-ion battery supports 85 kW fast charging, taking 35 minutes to charge up to 85 percent, and when full, it offers a WLTP range of 199 miles (320 km).

It also features Level 2 autonomous driving and a generous range of safety techs, in addition to the new infotainment system with 10.25-inch touchscreen display.
