Honda is adding Blind Spot Detection and Cross Traffic Assist to its 2021 Insight, scheduled to arrive in dealerships tomorrow. Also new is the Radiant Red Metallic color, as seen in the opening image, just above.
Pricing for the 2021 Insight starts from $22,930 as before, not taking into account the $955 destination and handling charges. Also, while Honda Sensing is standard on all trims, the aforementioned safety systems are only standard on EX and Touring specs.
Buyers can choose between three trim levels in LX, EX and Touring, with entry-level LX being the cheapest one to purchase. The EX and Touring are priced from $24,810 and $28,840, respectively.

All models come standard with multi-element LED headlights, push-button start technology, plus the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive features. Aside from Blind Spot and the Rear Cross Traffic Monitor, owners also benefit from an 8-inch Display Audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (standard).
Insight Touring variants add leather seats, an 8-way power driver’s seat, Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, dual-zone automatic climate control and more.
Powering the Insight is a 1.5-liter Atkison-cycle two-motor hybrid powertrain, producing 151 HP, while offering an EPA-rated 55 mpg (4.28 l/100 km) city fuel economy figure in LX and EX trim; the Touring only manages 51 mpg (4.61 l/100 km).
Honda assembles the Insight for the North American market at their Greensburg, Indiana plant, alongside the Civic and CR-V crossover. The powertrain meanwhile (including the hybrid battery pack) is produced in Ohio.
