The 2021 Hyundai Elantra has been previewed ahead of its world premiere at a press conference scheduled for 7 p.m. PT on March 17 at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, California.
A profile shot previewing the new-age Elantra reveals that its design will be radically different from the outgoing model and much more striking. At the front end we can see a set of aggressive headlights with incorporated daytime running lights. The sides of the new Elantra are also particularly striking thanks to sharp body lines running diagonally across the doors.

This side-profile teaser also provides us with a look at the silver and black wheels as well as the pointed taillights. It’s also interesting to see how the rear decklid doubles as a subtle spoiler that stretches out beyond the taillights.
As for the interior, it appears very minimalistic compared to current Hyundai models on the market. There is a sculpted widescreen, infotainment display jutting out of the dashboard and flowing seamlessly into the gauge cluster.
Additionally, the new Elantra sports an intriguing four-spoke steering wheel and a red accent running along the dashboard. There is also a white center console and transmission tunnel incorporating a grab-handle to separate the driver and passenger sides. Hyundai describes the cabin as an ‘immersive cocoon.’
Although we do not have measurements available for the 2021 Elantra, it certainly looks larger than the outgoing model. Engine details remain under wraps but a host of different SmartStream petrol variants can be expected. A plug-in hybrid is also thought to be a possibility.
