Being a petrol head from the middle class comes with the challenge of not being able to make up your mind about the car that you want.

One minute you find yourselves looking at brawny SUVs and the next moment you’d rather keep it simple with a nice luxury sedan; then again, you do need a sports/muscle car, don’t you?

During our online ventures, we found ourselves looking at a particular eBay ad for more than we should have. It shows a 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT in pristine condition, with just 824 miles (1,326 km) on the clock. It’s found in Alpharetta, Georgia, U.S.A. with a ‘Buy it now’ price of $31,500, though the seller is accepting offers. It looks pretty sweat, if we may say. Back in the day, the original MSRP was $27,470. According to production records, Ford built 4,040 Mustang Cobra SVT Coupes and 4,055 Convertibles for the 1999MY.

The 21-year old pony car comes with a 4.6-liter V8, making 320 horsepower and 317 pound-feet (430 Nm) of torque, paired to a five-speed manual transmission.

It wears a Rio Red paint on the outside , which was one of only four offered for that model year, the other ones being Electric Green, Ebony and Ultra White, contrasted by white stripes and ‘Cobra’ branding. The 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels are a nice departure from today’s oversized trend and complete the styling.

The interior is adorned with beige leather and similarly colored trim, and features white gauges. Back in the day, you had to pay extra to get equipment such as the air conditioning, power seats, power windows, front airbags and so on, and this muscle car has them all. It also has a classic radio with cassette player and other gizmos that you are about to discover in the comprehensive image gallery down below.
