Alfa Romeo sent our hearts racing again with the unveiling of the Giulia GTA and Giulia GTAm, even though the limited production run of 500 units means the super sedans will be unattainable for most people.
But what if Alfa Romeo decided to dial things up a notch and build a Giulia GTA Coupe? We know we’re in fantasy land with this one, but let’s not forget that rumors about a Giulia Coupe have circulated for quite a while now.
We fully understand there might not be a business case for a two-door Giulia at the moment, but what if Alfa Romeo decided to send off the current-generation of the Giulia with a limited-run, high-performance GTA Coupe variant?

That would certainly become the equivalent of the Holy Grail for Alfisti, and for good reason. Just think about it: a two-door Giulia Coupe packing the powertrain, chassis, aerodynamic and weight-saving upgrades of the GTA and GTAm super sedans. We couldn’t possibly see any downsides to this other than an eye-watering price tag.
To get a clear picture of what the hypothetical high-performance coupe could look like, we bring you these renderings created by Photoshop expert Aksyonov Nikita. Whether you like what you see or not, the Giulia GTA Coupe would make one heck of a rival for the likes of the BMW M4 GTS and Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe.
Alfa Romeo could make it even lighter than the GTA sedan, which is already 220 lbs (100 kg) lighter than the standard Giulia Quadrifoglio. Add to that the 540 PS (532 HP) churned out by the upgraded 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine and you end up with the perfect Alfa Romeo.
