The motorcycle you’re looking at may look like a prop for a Hollywood film but it is in fact a Ducati Hypermotard 1100 that’s been extensively modified and is fully functional.
Asphalt and Rubber reports that the customized Ducati is owned by a man named Vitaliy Selyukov who is behind Russian builder Balamutti. While the engine and frame of the Hypermotard have been retained, pretty much everything else is bespoke.
The most obvious upgrade made is the fitment of a second wheel at the front end to improve grip. Adding an extra wheel was no small feat, however, and required the builder to fabricate bespoke swing arms, a unique steering system, and modify the suspension. The two front wheels, as well as the rear, are also wrapped in studded tires because Selyukov intends on competing in ice-races with the bike.

As standard, the 1,078 cc engine of the Hypermotard produces approximately 95 hp. Eager for some added grunt, the crazy Russians custom-fabricated a Garrett GT35 turbocharger and outfitted it with a pulley system that effectively turns it into a supercharger. God only knows how much power the bike now has but there’s no doubt that it would be fast.
Selyukov lovingly refers to his custom Ducati as Yondu, named after the character from Guardians of the Galaxy. He hopes to compete with it in the Baikal Mile, a treacherous race held on a frozen lake near the border of Russia and Mongolia.
