For roughly $10k, you could buy a nice Nissan 350Z to enjoy on weekends, whereas doubling the budget could land you a pristine, low-mileage example.
This one, however, has been listed for sale for $42,500, so what makes it so special that it undercuts the 2020 370Z Nismo by around $3,000? According to the vendor, a used car dealer based in Heath, Ohio, who has it up on eBay, it’s registered as a road racer for the SCCA Super Production and SVRA Group 11.

It was made in 2006, and eight years later, it got a new lease on life as a SEMA show car, with the BRE livery that’s a tribute to Brock Race Engineering. Signed by Peter Brock before he passed away, it was used as a promo car for Braille Batteries and Nissan North America, showing its face in a few official events. In 2017, the vendor bought it and turned it into a road racer.
Fitted with a wide body kit, the 350Z features a two-tone paint finish in the BRE race team’s colors of the 1970s and 1980s, and rides on custom-made 18-inch BBS wheels, shod in Hoosier slicks. The front bumper, hood and carbon fiber spoiler are removable, and the tune is complemented by the custom coilover suspension, with adjustable height and dampening control, and uprated brakes.
The stripped down interior was fitted with a roll cage, Sparco bucket seat with five-point harness, quick-release steering wheel, custom gauges and fire suppression system.
The 3.5-liter V6 engine has been tuned to produce 385 horsepower and 328 lb-ft (445 Nm) of torque, although not at the crank, but at the wheels. A custom exhaust system is also on deck, whereas the six-speed manual transmission remains stock.
