Automotive photographer George Williams takes us for a tour inside what could have been the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, where workers are currently dismantling stands and transport vehicles originally scheduled to celebrate their premieres.

So the Geneva Motor Show is -understandably- canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak but until the news were official, most of the show’s fancy-looking stands and shiny new models were ready and waiting for the lights to come up.

The cancellation of Europe’s biggest auto show left car makers rushing to move their vehicles and take down the elaborate stands, as the bulk of the debuts will be now livestreamed online or take place on another venue.

Newcomer Czinger wanted to celebrate their debut as a brand with the 21C supercar while Morgan was also going to debut its new four-cylinder roadster at the Swiss show. Instead, the British boutique manufacturer decided to showcase the new model in Malvern, a small British town where Morgan was born, but in order to do so they had to actually drive the show car there, all the way from Geneva, and posting updates on their social media.

Koenigsegg decided to stay put and not take down its Geneva stand, as they will reveal a new mysterious supercar, codenamed ‘KG12’, straight from the show’s floor. Unlike Morgan, a road trip back to Angelholm, Sweden was probably dismissed.

The rest of the big players are going to host virtual reveals, so stay tuned for the majority of those tomorrow morning.
