The Lexus LC500 is arguably one of the most beautiful cars currently on sale but that didn’t stop one owner of the Japanese coupe in the U.S. from embarking on an ambitious project to drastically overhaul the sports model’s looks.
The most significant modification made to this LC500 is the fitment of a widebody kit from Liberty Walk that includes aggressively flared front and rear wheel arches. In addition, the Lexus sports an aftermarket front splitter and sits on a set of special wheels. Like many other cars from Liberty Walk, the coupe has been lowered, likely on a set of expensive air suspension.
Rounding out the obvious exterior modifications are a towering rear wing and a distinctive rear diffuser. When combined with a matte black wrap, the Lexus feels more like a batmobile than a run of the mill LC500. We’re sure the looks would upset some purists but we happen to think the car looks spectacular.

Would we embark on such significant modifications if we owned an LC500? The answer for this author is absolutely not as the changes will clearly impact driveability and cars like this just need to be driven to be fully appreciated. Having one that sits so low to the ground would likely make it virtually impossible to drive at speed and on roads that aren’t perfectly smooth and completely free of potholes.
Late last year, the LC500 family was updated with the arrival of the Convertible variant. Like the hardtop variant, the droptop is powered by the company’s 5.0-liter V8 engine with 471 hp and 398 lb-ft (539 Nm) of torque.
