As the world descends into coronavirus chaos, at least we can still count on the Ford Mustang to keep us entertained.

While the model is infamous for crashing at Cars and Coffee events in the United States, the latest accident occurred in India.

As you can see in the video, a truck reverses onto a two lane road and temporarily blocks traffic. While it appears the Mustang couldn’t be bothered to wait, Cartoq suggests they were actually speeding and couldn’t stop in time to avoid a rear-end collision.

Regardless, the driver pulled into the other lane. This was bad decision as the Mustang slammed into an oncoming truck. Oddly enough, security camera footage suggests the driver of the Mustang didn’t brake until after the collision.

While it remains unclear why they didn’t take evasive action, the Mustang suffered heavy damage in the crash. The front fender and hood were peeled back like a tin can, while there also appears to be significant structural damage. However, the rest of the car is relatively untouched.

Photos posted on Team-BHP show the truck was also worse for wear as the windshield shattered and the front end was partially smashed in. There also appears to be some blood on the passenger side, suggesting someone was injured. That’s unfortunate, but the driver of the Mustang reportedly escaped unharmed.

While it’s a tad unusual seeing a Mustang crash outside the United States, the sixth-generation pony car is a global model.  In 2018, the Mustang was available in 148 different counties and was the “best-selling sports coupe in the world.”
