This 1963 Porsche 356 B Carrera 2 GS Cabriolet isn’t just one of the very finest classic Porsche models on earth but it is also the most expensive Porsche currently listed for sale on eBay, outgunning a Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach.
The Porsche 356 has a long and proud racing history and in 1961, the Carrera 2 variant was launched at the Frankfurt Auto Show complete with a 2.0-liter flat-four cylinder engine, increased over the 1.5-liter displacement of earlier models. Between 1960 and 1963, just 67 examples of the 356 B Carrera 2 GS Cabriolet were ever manufactured and this example is one of 22 built in 1963 and one of just two finished in Signal Red with a black interior.
