Customer deliveries of the remarkable McLaren Speedtail have just kicked off and the very first was just handed over by McLaren Brussels. It’s quite the looker.
Images shared online show that the Speedtail has undergone an eye-catching purple paint job thanks to McLaren Special Operations. We can also see that it features a set of orange brake calipers and includes the carbon fiber aero caps on the front wheels to aid in aerodynamics.
Unfortunately, no photos of the interior have been shared albeit one showcases the 3D printed tool kit with a gold finish.

Production of the Speedtail is to be capped at just 106 units worldwide. With prices starting at around $2.25 million, it’s not cheap but it seems likely most of those to have ordered a Speedtail will splurge on a number of costly options. We’re sure the paint scheme of this particular example cost the customer more than the average yearly wage.
Driving the Speedtail is, of course, a petrol-electric hybrid unit that combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 746 hp and 590 lb-ft (799 Nm) of torque alongside an electric motor delivering an extra 308 hp and 256 b-ft (347 Nm). All up, the Speedtail is good for 1035 hp and 858 lb-ft (1,149 Nm). McLaren says its Hyper-GT can sprint to 186 mph (300 km/h) in just 12.8 seconds as well as a top speed of 250 mph (402 km/h).
