The Bentley Mulliner Bacalar is capped at just 12 units worldwide each with a starting price of £1.5 million (US$1,963,305) and yet despite that crazy number, all examples were sold before the car’s unveiling in the wake of the canceled Geneva Motor Show.

While taking an up-close look at the car, Top Gear had the opportunity to find out what that sort of money gets you in Bentley-land.

For one, $2 million buys you an exterior unlike any other road-going Bentley. The British marque’s designers took obvious inspiration from last year’s EXP 100 GT Concept with the design of the striking headlights and taillights. Additionally, the Mulliner Bacalar sports distinctive black air intakes across the front fascia as well as a distinctive grille. Another interesting aspect of the design we hadn’t seen up-close in the official press photos are the ninja star-shaped wheel caps.

The interior of the Bacalar is equally as special as the outside. For example, buyers will find a dashboard featuring 5,000-year old Riverwood and have the option of Beluga leather across the seats. The bright-yellow car showcased includes a number of black and yellow leather interior components as well as numerous brass trimmings to distinguish it from all other Bentleys.

Powering the Bacalar is a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission complete with all-wheel drive. The powertrain is good for 650 hp and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque.
