Ferrari launched the Superamerica back in 2005 as the drop-top version of the 575M Maranello, and thanks to its 533 HP (540 PS) V12 engine, it was marketed as the world’s fastest convertible car, with a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
Production was limited to 599 units, with only 43 of them featuring a manual gearbox. This particular car, getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer, looks clean and is claimed to have done just 6,000 miles (9,656).
Interestingly enough, this particular example has been auctioned off before, in May of last year, on the same online platform. Back then, it sold for an impressive $241,000. At the time we posted this story, the current highest bid was $100,000, with four days left for the auction to end.

The exterior is finished in metallic grey and comes with Scuderia fender shields, plus the car’s standard Revocromico rotating glass hardtop roof, with five adjustable tint levels. The wheels meanwhile measure 19-inches in diameter and are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires.
Be aware that there’s an April 2007 Carfax report that says the car was in a front-end collision, with no further details being provided other than to say that it left the crash in working condition.
As for the cabin, it’s trimmed in dark blue leather and features power-adjustable Daytona seats, plus silver stitching all over the dashboard, center console, door panels and steering wheel.
The previously-mentioned 5.75-liter V12 engine powers the rear wheels exclusively, delivering 533 HP (540 PS) and 434 lb-ft (588 Nm) of torque with the aid of a six-speed automated manual transmission. On paper, this could get you from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just a bit over four seconds, which is fast regardless of what era you’re living in.
