For decades, car enthusiasts have been clamoring for BMW to put an M3 Touring into production to no avail. Not dissuaded by the automaker’s unwillingness to produce such a vehicle, one enthusiast in the UK has done the work himself, creating an F81-generation M3 Touring.
The car started out life as a 320d Touring but eager to make it unique, the owner set about modifying it. Fittingly, he has previous experience with M3 Tourings and once owned a custom-built E92-generation M3 Touring, making him the perfect man for the job to create this unique one-off.
Under the hood is a genuine 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder from an F81 M3 that’s been complemented with a series of aftermarket modifications to the point where it now outputs approximately 530 hp. The owner could have stopped there and left the rest of the 320d untouched but instead set about comprehensively modifying the car’s looks.

There are genuine front and rear bumpers from the M3 as well as an aftermarket carbon fiber hood that adds to the aggression. Also featured are M3 wing mirrors and a rear-end that is truly gorgeous. Other modifications include an aftermarket exhaust system and a more aggressive rear diffuser. Suspension changes have also been made and the car sits on a set of custom wheels.
Painted in San Marino Blue, the car looks like a genuine M product. The theme continues in the cabin with Sakhir Orange leather and many M3 parts, including an expensive M Performance steering wheel and heaps of carbon fiber.
