Tesla started delivering the Model Y a couple of weeks ago, and Unplugged Performance has lost no time getting to work on it.

The Californian company’s first offering is limited to a set of lowering springs that will cost you $385, plus another $300 for installation.

Developed in partnership with HYPERCO, the Formula 1 and Indy car spring supplier, the ‘moderate’ version brings the Model Y’s body closer to the asphalt. Unplugged Performance claims that with these components installed, the car “delivers the best performance in terms of handling, comfort, aerodynamics and of course sporty looks”.

The company will start accepting pre-orders for the ‘moderate’ springs in late April or early May, while the ‘mild’ springs, which are currently in the making and will “provide a comfort-focused ride for those who want a more luxurious ride without reducing ground clearance for off-road use”, are estimated to arrive in June or July.

Speaking of things to come, the entry-level variant of the Model Y is around one year away and will start at $39,000. Meanwhile, you can get the Long Range Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive model that kicks off at $52,900, has a 316-mile (509-km) range, sprints to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.8 seconds and maxes out at 135 mph (217 km/h). The Performance version has a 0-60 mph acceleration of 3.5 seconds, 145 mph (233 km/h) top speed, which can be optionally increased to 155 mph (250 km/h), 315 miles (507 km) of range and an MSRP of $60,990.
