VW has announced the pricing details of the 2021 Atlas, which received a mid-life facelift that includes both exterior and interior changes.
The new 2021 VW Atlas has been visually upgraded to add a bit more flair, following the example of its Atlas Cross Sport sister model. First examples of VW’s updated seven-seater SUV will arrive on dealers on the second quarter of the year.

The redesign introduces new sculpted bumpers that add an extra three inches to the model’s overall length, as well as new LED headlights and taillights. The exterior changes are completed with a new three-bar front grille, as well as new wheel designs.
Prices start from $32,565 (including a $1,020 destination fee) for the entry-level S trim, which offers 18-inch alloys, rain-sensing wipers, a 6.5-inch infotainment and LED headlights among other.
The range includes the SE, SE with Technology, SE with Technology R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium and SEL Premium R-Line trim levels. The latter, which starts from $48,215, sits at the top of the range and offers things like 20-inch machined wheels, leather heated/ventilated seats, ambient lighting and a premium audio system.
The 2021 VW Atlas will be available with two engine options: a base 235 HP 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder TSI and a 276 HP 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6. Both of them are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The news here is that the 2.0-liter TSI is now available with 4Motion all-wheel drive as an option for the first time.
The cabin has also been upgraded with a new steering wheel, new contrast stitching options, and an 8-inch Composition Media infotainment system on all models but the base S trim. All trim levels are also fitted with the next-gen Car-Net telematics system, as well as Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring (Front Assist), Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Traffic Alert.
Optional extras include things like a set of Captain’s Chairs for the second row on the SE with Technology trim and above for $695, a panoramic sunroof for $1,200 on SE with Technology and SE with Technology R-Line models, as well as a towing package for V6 models that includes a factory trailer hitch and a more powerful alternator for $550.
