Audi’s second all-electric SUV, the e-tron Sportback, will arrive at U.S. dealerships this summer, bringing a sportier alternative to the regular e-tron.
Roughly the same size as a BMW X6, the all-electric crossover coupe is priced from $77,400 in the United States, before a $7,500 federal tax credit for eligible customers and excluding a $995 destination and delivery charge. That makes it more affordable than Tesla’s Model X which starts from $84,990 before incentives.
In fairness, the Tesla does offer a significantly longer EPA-estimated range of 351 miles (565 km), compared to the Audi’s EPA-estimated range of 218 miles (350 km). The three-stage regenerative braking system can contribute to about 30 percent of the Sportback’s total range.

A 95 kWh battery feeds two electric motors (one on each axle) that deliver a combined 355 HP in normal conditions and 402 HP in Boost Mode – the U.S. gets the more powerful 55 quattro model as standard. This enables the e-tron Sportback to sprint from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.5 seconds, thanks in part to the standard electric quattro AWD system.
The battery features 150 kW rapid charging capability when using a high-speed commercial charger. A 30-minute fast charge results in 174 miles (280 km) or approximately 3 hours of driving time. The list of standard features is long and includes adaptive air suspension, 20-inch wheels, MMI touch response system with Amazon Alexa, a sunroof, and more.
To mark the U.S. launch, Audi will offer a limited-run e-tron Sportback Edition One variant. On the outside, it will feature exclusive Plasma blue metallic paint paired with Dynamic orange brake calipers, Alu-optic trim, as well as unique S-line front and rear bumpers.
The launch edition’s interior will feature exclusive Monaco Gray Valcona leather upholstery with two-tone stitched dash and black headliner. Edition One puddle lamps round out the package.
